Your brother came over, and I was trying so hard to be strong. But two days later I lost it. I couldn't remember your voice , and things like that. What kind of Mother forgets these things? Add a few other problems going on at the time, and I lost my cool. I know now that these things are small. Comments:I lost my Daught, leigh Anne Wilson 06-02-1978/07-14-2002...her friends accidentaly ran her over in a ski boat. leigh had fallen off the wakeboard and the driver lost site of her in the water. Her artery was cut and she bled to death. You guessed it. driver was drinking. I lost my only child. I see your Daughter's face, after the dance, so beautiful. I am sorry you had to go thru this.

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter, Aleia. Although it is so long ago now, i'm sure you still feel the pain of what happened everday. She was a beautiful girl. It was so sad to read about the literature you found, and the black carnation she wore. I recently discovered a friend of mine whom i have chatted to on the internet, and have known for 3 years, was hit and killed by a drunk driver on 3rd November this year. She was 22, and from Sweden. Comments:I really couldn't understand what u mean by this but a couple weeks ago two of my cousins were takin their little brother to work and on their way home, it was storming and raining really bad, and a drunk driver swirved out in front of them then they hydroplaned, and it killed both of my cousins, in Wynne, AR. At the ages of 21 and 16. But my 21 year old cousin had a twin brother, and their sister had a baby on the same day. Then last weekend my little cousin was laying on the bed at one of his friends house' and his friend pulled out a gun, well my little cousin, which did not know he was under drug influence, asked him nicely to put away the gun. Well my cousins friend quickly quick drawed and shot my innocent 12 year old cousin in the chest.

Comments:On May 31 2008 My 18 yrs old daughter made the decision to get into the car with one of her friends that had been drinking. After 9 days in the ICU that decision cost her here life. She had no alchol in her system. I always told her that if she got in that position to call me and I would come and get her. This website is pussing not to drink and drive. (Which is a good message) but kids please think before you get in a car with someone drinking. Call your parents, a friend, ect... If you have not lost a child you can not imagine what the pain feels like.

Comments:I was so saddened when I heard about Aleia. To this day I remember Aleia as being one the most kindest person that I have ever known. I went to school with her, and she was so nice to me all throughout grade school, junior high, and high school in West Chicago. During elementry school I was involved in a bicycle accident (I think it was during first grade), and I was out of school for about three-weeks. One day I was going through my homework that was sent home to me, I came across a get well note that Aleia and some of her friends wrote for me. I know in sixth-grade, she talked me into joining K.A.C (kids against crime)-hallway monitor with her and Ladonna Branscom. In junior-high she would always say hi to me in the hallways. She also did the same thing during our freshman year in high school (I moved early during tenth-grade). Your site is absolutely perfect. I pray that you and your family are well. John

Comments:I knew Aleia in high school. The last time I spoke with her was the Saturday before she died. I was in my freshman year in college and was home for the weekend. I thought maybe we could get together. She had plans but we said the next time I was home we would hang out. Little did I know the next time would be at her funeral. I use her story as an example to my girls (9 and 12) of what alcohol can do. I think of her still and wonder what she would have become had someone not ended her life so carelessly and selfishly.

Comments:If you're new to the site, well, I'm Aleia's Dad. My wife and I spent yesterday making an annual visit to the cemetery in rememberance of our loving Daughter. You see yesterday marked 13 years. The pain is still there and some days the knife is sharp, others dull, but still it hurts. Yes, life has gotten better and no, it's not like the pain is anywhere near what it was so many years ago. I've just learned to live with it as so many others have. Comments:I found your daughters' site while visiting my father's to view it for the first time. Your site is such a beautiful memorial for such a beautiful girl. As much as I hate to admit it, I once was a drunk driver. That is until 1994 when I woke in a jail cell charged with a DWI. To this day, I thank God that that was ALL that happened. I looked back at all the other times and thought of how many times I had driven drunk and how the good LORD must have been watching out for me. Not for me, but for the innocent lives out on the street that I could have taken. Somebody's loved one. I thank God for the DWI, as it was a wake-up call to me that next time, I may not be so fortunate. I have 2 grown daughters. Besides warning them about the consequences of drinking and driving, I stay on top of their friends about it, as well. I've asked them, "What is the worst thing that could happen if you drink and drive." Naively, they say, "I could kill my self." I say, "No, you could kill someone else's

I HAVENT LOST ANYONE TO IT BUT IT TRULY DISTURBS ME WHEN I CONTINALLY HEAR ABOUT ACCIDENTS INVOLVING DRUNK DRIVERS..IT NEVER FAILS THE PERSON WHO IS TOTALLY PLASTERED NEVER DIES ALWAYS THE PERSON TO THE RIGHT OR BEHIND THE DRIVER PAYS THE PRICE.. I AM SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DAUGHTER.. BUT I FEEL THERE MUST BE A REASON WHY THE DRIVER LIVES...I KNOW OR I WOULD HOPE THE PERSON COULDNT LIVE WITH THEMSELVES NOT TO BE HARSH BUT THAT IN SOME WAY THAT WOULD TURN THERE LIFE AROUND....WHAT A WAY TO DO IT.. THEY HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE FOR ANOTHER PERSONS LIFE...EVERYONE HAS THERE TIME THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN AND ONE DAY THEY WILL BE JUDGED...
